SAFIC has collaborated with a few schools in the past with regards to the propagation of Sanskrit among children from a very young age. Currently, the numbers of students enrolled in schools that have adopted and incorporated a curriculum in Sanskrit are:
- Seth MR Jaipuria School, Lucknow (approximately 3000 students from Classes I to VII)
- Sri Aurobindo Centre of New Education, Jodhpur (approximately 500 students)
- Sri Aurobindo International School, Hyderabad (approximately 500 students)
Some other schools where we have conducted workshops for the students are: a) The Mother’s International School, New Delhi and, b) Mirambika – Free Progress School, New Delhi.
Furthermore, since the Sri Aurobindo Society manages nine schools in Bangalore, Patiala, Chandigarh, Jodhpur and Delhi, there is a great potential for collaboration and propagation of children’s literature in Sanskrit with these schools.
